George E. Young
Pastor George E. Young, III has been making great strides on his journey with God. He and his wife, First Lady Denequa Young have remained steadfast and unmovable on the word of God. They have been blessed with three beautiful children; Lamar, Lauren and Gavin.
Pastor Young’s service began at an early age. In his early years, he attended Greater Grace Temple under the leadership of the late Bishop David L. Ellis. Some years later, his family migrated to High Praise Cathedral of Faith (formerly Unity Cathedral of Faith). While attending Unity, he served as a junior deacon under the leadership of Bishop Clarence B. Haddon. Pastor Young also served as an associate pastor under his father George Young Jr. at Restoration Church of Jesus Christ where God began to show Pastor Young his gifts in the ministry.
As George continued to serve, the Holy Spirit reminded him of the promise of Abraham ( Genesis 12:1-3). George once again went to work diligently under a friend of his who had recently been called to pastor a local church. Soon after his friend took over the church, he felt the calling in another capacity. This left the church without a pastor. Immediately, the congregation requested that George be ordained and installed as their new pastor. After much prayer and supplication, George accepted the call. Right away the Young family began a work for the Lord in the community. Several programs were implemented and renovations were being made to the building.
As the church began its metamorphosis, the current establishment became disturbed by its progress. Upon observance of the disapproval from the current staff, Pastor Young saw the need within the church and community. The area needed a church that addressed the inner-man. A church of internal change and restoration. It would introduce God’s plan and direction for the lives of the people.
One evening, the spirit of God led Pastor George to name the church New Vision Cathedral of Praise. New Vision would birth many disciples of Christ to further advance and edify the Kingdom of God. New Vision has grown into a powerful ministry that has impacted the lives of many. The membership of New Vision is growing continuously. Members are becoming disciples and pew fillers are developing into prayer warriors. God has blessed us at New Vision with an awesome, dynamic teacher of the word. Pastor Young is a prolific shepherd with a heart for God’s people. God has certainly sent us an angel. As we prepare for the coming Christ, we at New Vision Cathedral of Praise encourage all to “come and see the vision” that God has ordained for your life!

First Lady Denequa Young serves in many capacities within New Vision Cathedral. She works tirelessly in the vineyard with her husband Pastor George E. Young, III. In August of 2003, she founded the W.O.V.E.N. Ministry. This ministry was founded upon glorifying God from a servant’s perspective. The W.O.V.E.N. ministry is focused on Embracing the will of God in the lives of women, Encouraging women with the word of God and Empowering women to walk in DEEstinctive Royalty. In 2005, Lady Denequa founded the D.O.V.E. Ministry which consists of a group of anointed young women who have a heart to offer their gift of dance unto the Lord. Holding Bachelors of Science in Counseling Psychology and Master of Arts in Organizational Management degrees, Lady Young serves as the Administrative Pastor of New Vision Cathedral. In addition to coordinating several community service events, Lady Young maintains her first priorities: her duties as a wife and mother.
Co Pastor Denequa stresses the importance of learning the word of God. As a recipient of many blessings that the Father has bestowed upon her, she diligently proclaims Romans 8:17 (And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together). Heiress to the Throne is a yearly fellowship choreographed by Co Pastor Denequa and the W.O.V.E.N ministry. Lady Denequa is the CEO and director of this ministry that refreshes, renews and restores women back to their place in God. Lady Young is fulfilling Genesis 17:16: And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her. Co Pastor Denequa believes that in every woman there lies a diamond; exceptionally strong and exceptionally beautiful when purified.
